She recently announced via Twitter that a new album would soon be on the way.

And Selena Gomez appears to be taking her promise to her fans seriously.
The 20-year-old looked like the consummate professional in stylish loose-fitting trousers and a fitted black top as she made her way into a recording studio in Los Angeles on Wednesday.

The former Disney star looked all grown up in black-and-white trousers, a sleeveless peplum top and nude high heels as she entered the studio to work on her upcoming album.

The brunette beauty wore her waist-length hair in loose, tousled waves, while shielding her eyes with stylish black sunglasses.

Selena carried her iPhone and a takeout coffee, no doubt in need of a caffeine boost to get her through a busy day of recording.

Selena has just returned from Europe where she was heavily promoting her upcoming film Spring Breakers which is due in theatres on March 15.

Last week Selena indicated on her Twitter page that she's working on her music, which will know doubt please her fans.

‘Whose ready for an album? All the songs have been decided coming to you soon,’ Selena tweeted.

Despite her glamorous appearance, Selena told Harper's Bazaar in a new interview that she doesn't care how she looks.

‘I do not give a damn what I look like, I don’t,’ she said. ‘I wish I could pay attention because Gwen Stefani, say, looks flawless.’
She also claimed she is a big fan of Gwyneth Paltrow, Charlize Theron and Rachel Bilson, the latter of which Selena says is ‘the one person I totally love casually’.
