Gerard Pique failed to conceal his excitement on Wednesday as he left the hospital following the birth of his son.
The FC Barcelona player boasted an ear-to-ear grin as he left the medical centre, where his girlfriend Shakira had given birth to baby Milan just hours before.
Clearly smitten with the new arrival, Gerard, 25, wound down the window to speak to waiting photographers as he left the hospital, leaving his singer girlfriend inside where she is believed to be recovering from the birth.

Proud father: Gerard, and Shakira's sister Lucy, looked thrilled after welcoming the new arrival into the world

Shakira's parents Nadia Ripoll and William Mebarak and her sister Lucy Mebarak were also seen arriving at the hospital to meet the new arrival.
Colombian singer Shakira, 35, and her footballer beau confirmed the arrival of their little boy on her official website on Tuesday night. 
She wrote: 'We are happy to announce the birth of Milan Piqué Mebarak, son of Shakira Mebarak and Gerard Piqué, born January 22nd at 9:36pm, in Barcelona, Spain.

'The name Milan (pronounced MEE-lahn), means dear, loving and gracious in Slavic; in Ancient Roman, eager and laborious; and in Sanskrit, unification...
'The hospital confirmed that the couple’s first child weighed approximately 6lbs. 6 ounces, and that both mother and child are in excellent health.'
She added: 'Just like his father, baby Milan became a member of FC Barcelona at birth.'
